Simagic Zeus Formula Steering Wheel

The Simagic Zeus Formula is the flagship steering wheel in the Simagic range and the first model in the Zeus series. The 280 mm rim follows the FIA dimension for formula cars, the front plate is 5 mm solid carbon fibre and the back cover is one-piece CNC-machined aluminium. With up to 92 physical inputs and 91 RGB lighting zones it is built for drivers who want to configure every detail of their cockpit.

The diameter matches that of most real Formula 1 steering wheels. Against a 300 mm GT rim the steering is more direct and the force feedback feels more immediate – formula cockpits are tighter and demand a faster steering response.

Materials and build

A one-piece die-cast aluminium frame with a CNC-machined housing meets a 5 mm front plate of 3K Toray carbon fibre. Every rotary knob and switch is CNC-machined aluminium as well. The three-layer grip combines a steel core for rigidity, an injection-moulded layer for a firm hold and a silicone surface for comfort and grip.

Controls

You get 16 freely assignable RGB buttons, two 7-way rotary switches, four rotary encoders and four thumb encoders. The HALL paddle module with dual clutch is included – the lower clutch paddles can be assigned a bite point in SimPro Manager for controlled launches. Through the UP+ modular system you can fit single paddles, a 3-paddle shifter module or push-pull paddles instead.

MagicDash 4 and the UP+ modular system

The MagicDash 4 display attaches magnetically and moves between several Zeus wheels and Alpha EVO wheelbases. Run more than one Zeus wheel and you still only need one display. The AirLink module is required for operation. The display is not included.

Connection and compatibility

On Alpha EVO wheelbases the Zeus Formula connects directly. Alpha series and M10 bases require MagLink Pro or MagLink Pro Xtend; MagLink Pro additionally opens up third-party wheelbases. Configuration runs through SimPro Manager V3, and the wheel is fully integrated into SimHub – buttons, LEDs and encoders included.
