The VRS DirectForce® R295 G2 is a 295 mm steering wheel for GT and formula in one. Large enough for GT3 and touring cars, compact enough for formula cars – with every control you need in a race. The second generation adds a magnetic USB connection and redesigned grips, making the R295 usable on almost any wheelbase.

What is new on the G2?

The back of the wheel now has its own USB port with a magnetic cable. The cable snaps on securely and releases cleanly when you take the wheel off. This means the R295 G2 also works on wheelbases from other manufacturers that have no USB pass-through via the quick release. On top of that, the reworked TPE grips offer more grip and do not slip, even in long stints.

Every function at your fingertips

Ten freely assignable short-travel RGB buttons, four thumb encoders, three backlit rotary encoders and two 7-way switches are placed so you can reach them without changing your grip. Adjust brake bias, traction control, engine maps or pit limiter while driving. Behind the rim sit two magnetic shifter paddles and two clutch paddles made of cast aluminium – for precise gear changes and clean dual-clutch starts.

Telemetry in view

A total of 24 RGB LEDs can be configured via SimHub. Ten shift lights in the centre show you the optimal shift point, while four side proximity lights warn you of cars alongside, yellow flags or low fuel. You decide on colours and functions.

Stiff and light

The 5 mm aluminium front plate ensures that force feedback reaches your hands without flex. At around 1.55 kg, the wheel is still light enough for the wheelbase to react quickly and with fine detail.

Quick release and compatibility

The pre-fitted NRG-style VRS quick release has proven itself in real motorsport and sits without play. On VRS DirectForce® wheelbases such as the DFP15, the connection runs wirelessly through the quick release. For other wheelbases, use the USB port with the supplied magnetic cable. The bolt pattern is 50 mm; wheelbases with a 70 mm bolt pattern require an adapter.

Note: The QR Connect (u)DFP20 adapter is required for use on the VRS (u)DFP20 wheelbase.
